 Summer 2010: "Camp
Broadway"
Camp Broadway! is an actor training program
for youth who love to perform. The camp holds classes in dance; singing; acting;
voice overs; acting for the camera; musical theater and visual art. We
strive to get the student's creative engines roaring and advance their
skills in the performing arts.
This camp serves as a great foundation for
further training and is suitable for the beginner and the returning
student. Camp Broadway! helps performers develop their skills in
imagination, creativity, vocabulary, teamwork and coordination. The camp
culminates with a theatrical production using sets, costumes, props and
lights on the last day of camp for family and friends.
Camp Broadway Structure:

9-9:30 am: Physical and Vocal Warm ups
·
(Acting
Technique emphasizing: communicating with voice and body, stage presence,
character development; auditioning skills; focus, discipline)
·
9:30-10:30 am: Specialty Class i.e. Dance Class; Visual Art; Voice
·
10:30-11:30 am: Specialty Class “
·
11:30-12:15 pm: Break - (provide your own
lunch/water bottle recommended)
·
12:15-2:30 pm: Musical Theater Play
Rehearsal
·
2:30-3:00 pm: Specialty Class i.e. Improvisation; Acting for the
Camera; Voiceovers; Stage Dialects; Cartoon Voices.
