Get in the Act! Arts in Action
501(c)(3)
Our mission: We use the performing arts as powerful teaching
tools that strengthen and enhance the learning process.
Founded in September 2009, Get in the
Act! Arts in Action 501(c)(3) is
a team of professionally trained artists and educators. Get in the Act! creates innovative,
inspiring and educational interdisciplinary arts programs in partnership
with schools, parks and recreation departments, senior citizen centers and
the wider community. We serve and
are accessible to all Northern Sierra Nevada communities. For more information, please go to the

Get in the Act! Theater Arts
Academy
Founded in September 2001,
Get in the Act! Theater Arts Academy provides young people ages 3 to 18 with
innovative and enriching performing arts training. Through their work in the Academy,
students can explore and express their individuality, build self-confidence,
and gain new knowledge and understanding of acting techniques. Each session culminates with a “showcase”
for family and friends, enabling the students to apply their skills towards
a performance. For more information please go to
